The Cross-Country Area
In the cross-country skiing area Aussois you can expect a trail network with about 40 trail kilometers. The nine circular trails are designed for both classic and skating styles and are suitable for all skill levels. In total there are 2 green trails with a length of 3 km, 3 blue trails with a length of 12 km, 3 red trails with a length of 14 km and 1 black trail with a length of 11 km.
The plateau around the Nordic Chalet is perfect for children and beginners who want to make their first experiences with the classic cross-country skiing style or want to learn skating directly. For the more experienced cross-country skiers, this area is recommended for warming up.
There are also cross-country skiing courses for skating and classic cross-country skiing as well as biathlon courses at a laser shooting range. You have questions about cross-country skiing? In Val Cenis Sardières there is a tourist information office open 7 days a week during the season.

- The high point of the cross-Country skiing area is located at an elevation of 1,600 m.
- Snow coverage is usually best during February, offering an average snow depth of 121 cm at summit elevation and 68 cm at the base.
Getting Here
The parking lot of the cross-country ski center is located in the southeast of France, about two hours from Lyon, Turin and Geneva and less than 15 minutes from the exit of the highway No. 30. The entry point can be reached by car, by shuttle or in 15 minutes on foot (from the village in the direction of Sardières). There is a large parking lot at the central entry point to the trails.
