The Cross-Country Area
Candanchú is located on the border with France in the western Pyrenees. The area offers three different trails, suitable for both cross-country and skating.
The length of the trails is 2.5, 5 and 7.5 kilometres. Candanchú is also home to the only biathlon stadium in Spain.
Among other things, athletes can use a shooting range and a penalty loop there. You can also take a winter hike through the Pista Grande area on the signposted snowshoe trail.
Interesting facts
- The highest point of the track is 1,658 m above sea level.
- Snow coverage is usually best during March, offering an average snow depth of 209 cm at summit elevation and 63 cm at the base.
