The Cross-Country Area
Catedral Alta Patagonia's cross-country trails are located amidst the ski resort, near the top station of Amancay cableway. At a snow-safe elevation of 1,600m/5,249ft, they are suitable for beginners and more experienced skiers alike. The approximately 5km/3.1mi long scenic trail leads through a beech forest. You can find a classic as well as a shorter skating track.
To grab a bite to eat, try the mountain hut La Roca right by the lift station. Furthermore, there are numerous restaurants and pubs at the town in the valley.
Interesting facts
- The highest point of the track is 1,650 m above sea level.
- Snow coverage is usually best during September, offering an average snow depth of 95 cm at summit elevation and 24 cm at the base.
