The Cross-Country Area
In Flachau and the surrounding area, Nordic winter sports enthusiasts can explore almost 90 kilometres of groomed cross-country trails. Among the diverse routes there is the right terrain for beginners as well as experts. A big highlight is the Tauern cross-country ski trail between the six communities of Altenmarkt-Zauchensee, Radstadt, Flachau, Wagrain, Eben and Filzmoos. There are a total of five cross-country trails in Flachau, which are prepared for both classic and skating.
Those who need help with their first steps on the narrow skis or would like to hone their technique can attend a cross-country skiing course. Seven ski and sports schools offer a wide range of courses.
