The Cross-Country Area
At the foot of Little Gore Mountain, visitors will find the cross-country arena "The North Creek Ski Bowl". The winter wonderland comprises ten trails, ready to be explored and enjoyed.
Start your journey at trail A, an even terrain with slight ascents. This trail is ideal to improve your technique. The path now leads to a parcours through idyllic forest landscapes. After that, get an adrenalin rush on trail C, an extremely difficult and steep trail. Trail E offers a fantastic view of the Moxham Mountains. Beginners can also skip trail C and head directly to trail H, an open terrain made for technique and interval training.
Trail F contains a slalom parcours, jumps and rollercoaster dips to improve your balance, speed and agility. Skiing during the nighttime is possible on trails A,B,C,F,G,H,I and J.
The Most Beautiful Tracks
Trail E offers a spectacular view of the Moxham Mountains and Moxham Valley. Rollercoaster dips and slalom trails can be found on trail F. On trail C, advanced cross-country skiers can ascend a small hill and improve their technique.
Interesting facts
- The high point of the cross-Country skiing area is located at an elevation of 460 m.
- Snow coverage is usually best during March, offering an average snow depth of 77 cm at summit elevation and 33 cm at the base.

Getting Here
The NYC SnowBus takes skiers from Manhattan and Brooklyn to Gore Mountain every Saturday. The bus runs during the season from December 29 to March 16 and can be booked online here.
If you're looking to fly into the region, the airport closest to the resort is Albany Airport. From here, take the I-87 N until exit #23 (Lake George). Here, turn left on NY-28 S, which leads you to Ski Bowl Road North Creek. The drive takes approximately one and a half hours.
