The Cross-Country Area
In the Holiday Region Dachstein Salzkammergut, one of the most beautiful recreational areas in Austria, the cross-country skiing area of Gosau at Dachstein attracts with its network of almost 38 kilometres of groomed slopes. Cozy and sporty skiers get their money's worth on the six cross-country ski runs and enjoy the romantic winter landscape with snow-covered fields and forests as well as the magnificent view of the majestic Dachstein. Thanks to the average altitude of 780 metres, the cross-country ski runs are open from December to April, depending on the snow conditions. All trails are groomed daily and can be used free of charge.

Dining along the Tracks
In Gosau at Dachstein there are several possibilities to stop for a break. These include the "Kohlstattstüberl" on the Kohlstatt cross-country skiing trail, the Brandwirt and Café Gamsjäger at the end of the sun trail, restaurant Echo and restaurant Gosauschmied.
When you are on the trails on Friday, you will pass the farmer's market.
Getting Here
By car from Salzburg
Leave the A 10 at the Golling junction and continue to Abtenau.
From here follow the signs for Russbach and over the Gschütt pass
At the Gosau intersection, turn right onto Gosaussee (Lake Hallstatt) street.
After approx. 50 m turn left towards Vitalhotel Gosau. After a few meters you will reach the sports center Gosau.
By car from Linz
Take the A 1 until the Regau junction.
Continue towards Gmunden, Bad Ischl, Bad Goisern and Gosau
In Gosau at the Pass Gschütt junction continue straight ahead onto Gosaussee (Lake Hallstatt) street.After about 50 m turn left towards Vitalhotel Gosau. After a few meters you will reach the sports center Gosau.
