Steg is a small time-honored hamlet of alpine huts with 50 inhabitants at 1'300 m/4'265 ft above sea level. It is the ideal place to relax and enjoy nature. The cross-country paradise is characterized by its pristine beauty. There are four different types of tracks available including a night track.

- Average snow depth during the season is 96 cm at summit elevation and 56 cm at base elevation. Snow coverage is usually best during February, offering an average snow depth of 118 cm at summit elevation and 69 cm at the base.
