The Cross-Country Area
With 15 kilometres of cross-country tracks, Sutton near Québec has a lot to offer cross-country skiers. The "Plein Air Sutton" cross-country skiing area is not far from the Mont Sutton ski area and offers 14 tracks of all levels of difficulty. It is usually open from the beginning of December to the beginning of April. Parking spaces are available at the entrance as well as toilets and a Welcome Center.
In addition to the cross-country trails, there are several winter hiking trails (12km) and routes for fatbike tours (7km) in this area.
Interesting facts
- The high point of the cross-Country skiing area is located at an elevation of 860 m.
- Snow coverage is usually best during March, offering an average snow depth of 63 cm at summit elevation and 52 cm at the base.
