The Cross-Country Area
The 20-kilometer (12-mile) long trail network in Panorama Mountain Village is groomed twice a week and offers exciting opportunities to beginners and advanced cross-country skiers alike. The 12-kilometer (7-mile) loop around the Hale Hut Warming Cabin is especially recommended, offering some wonderful views from the mountains.
Only 20 kilometers (12 miles) from the resort, interested guests will find Lake Windermere Whiteway, the world's longest ice skating loop. A Nordic loop with a length of 15 kilometers (9 miles) is located right beside the lake. The region can be reached from the resort with a free shuttle bus.

- The high point of the cross-Country skiing area is located at an elevation of 1,161 m.
- Snow coverage is usually best during March, offering an average snow depth of 141 cm at summit elevation and 69 cm at the base.
Getting Here
The closest city is Calgary, which is about a 3.5 hour drive away. From Calgary, take Highway 1 through the Banff and Kootenay National Parks. Then, turn south on Highway 93 through to Radium and keep going until you reach Invermere, BC. From here, it's a 20 minute drive to the Purcell Mountains towards Panorama Mountain Resort.
