The Cross-Country Area
Wolf Creek Ski Area provides the Cross Country track at the base of Wolf Creek Ski Area. The track is a 10 km loop and is groomed on a regular basis. There is no fee to use this amenity and it is currently very popular to the skate skiers, classic cross country skiers and people who enjoy snow-shoeing.

- Located at 3,288 m above sea level, the Cross-Country Skiing Area is the highest elevated Cross-Country Skiing Areas in the USA.
- Snow coverage is usually best during April, offering an average snow depth of 367 cm at summit elevation and 319 cm at the base. This makes Wolf Creek Ski Area the cross-Country skiing area with the best snow conditions in the USA.

Dining along the Tracks
The Wolf Creek Lodge (Upper Lodge) is well known for delicious, affordable food.
Enjoy our cafeteria-style restaurant featuring a full gourmet salad bar and a selection of homemade soups, red chili and Santa Fe style green chili. Try the daily special, with a different entrée and side each day plus your choice of dessert, all for one low price.
On busy days and weekends “The Outside Grill” is in operation with burgers and brats grilled and served on the sundeck with your choice of cheeses, mushrooms, bacon, pineapple, green chili, or the works! This can be the place for a quick bite between runs. The many picnic tables on the lodge sundeck are nearby.
Getting Here
Wolf Creek Ski Area is located in the San Juan/Rio Grande National Forest on Highway 160 at the top of Wolf Creek Pass, between the towns of Pagosa Springs and South Fork in beautiful southern Colorado.
