Berghaus Toni in Riederalp

A Traditional Family run, Pet friendly Hotel, Bar and Restaurant based at 1950 meters in the Car-Free Village of Riederalp in the Swiss canton of Wallis/Valais.

Arrival is quite straight forward as you Park your car in Mörel or arrive via Train and then take the Cable Car to Riederalp West. We are then only a short walk from the Cable Car Station. In Winter we are able to assist guests with their baggage as we have a snow scooter, so please notify us of your arrival by using the complimentary phone in Mörel or once you are in Riederalp West. Sorry no Passengers.

We have a 75 seat Restaurant and Bar with a Guest Lounge and Fireplace. There is also an extensive Terrace benefitting from wonderful Alpine views and dining for upto an additional 40 guests as well as an Ice Bar and Open Fire.

At Berghaus Toni we are proud to be members of the "Walliser Genuss" / "Saveurs du Valais" Association working with local suppliers and producers offering fantastic local specialities such as Raclette, Walliser Teller, Cheese Fondue and so on.

All Rooms are equipped with complimentary Wi-Fi, Toiletries and Water as well as all bed linen, bath towels, hand towels and face cloths.

They also come with a bath or shower. Housekeeping takes place daily when you stay over with Towels being replaced on request or by leaving them on the Bathroom floor.

Some Rooms are available with a Balcony or Terrace, but please specify this when booking your room. There are 2 bedrooms that are not ensuite with a shared bathroom in the corridor opposite.

Hairdryers are available to borrow from Reception and if you have forgotten anything we have amenities such as toothbrush, toothpaste, etc to purchase from Reception.

We have a 75 seat Restaurant and Bar serving local specialities, an a la carte menu, daily set menu and children's menu. Most special dietary requirements can be catered for upon request.

Berghaus Toni does not have any Spa & Wellness facilities on site. However, there are facilities that we can recommend off site and assist you with booking.

In Summer the Villa Cassel is only a 20 minute walk up to the Riederfurka where you have the Pro Natura Centre giving you the pportunity to learn about the conservation of the Aletsch Forest.

Guided walks on the Great Aletsch Glacier (23kms long) can be organised throughout the Summer, which is a truly memorable experience.

Riederalp's Alp Museum is only 5 minutes away giving you a glimpse of yesteryear in the Alps.

In Winter the Aletsch Arena Ski Resort has just over 100 kms of Ski Pistes. At Berghaus Toni you have direct access to the ski slopes from the Hotel's front door, so it is a perfect location for Skiing, Snowboarding and Snow Shoe Wondering.

In Summer you have direct access to the main network of walking (300kms) and mountain biking (100kms) trails, again all on the Hotel's door step.

The Riederalp Golf Club is a 10 minute walk away and lessons can easily be arranged.

Guided walks on the Great Aletsch Glacier (23kms long) can be organised throughout the Summer, which is a truly memorable experience.

You can also hire Mountain Bikes from the local Sports shop or bring your own!

Riederalp's Alp Museum is only 5 minutes away giving you a glimpse of yesteryear in the Alps.

There are several Lakes, Blausee and Bettmersee where you can swim and even go paddle boarding or rowing (Bettmersee).

In Bettmeralp you can fly through the trees, zip lining at the Seilpark. 

All year round Staff are happy to assist guests with information about the Resort and book activities for them. Whether it's Tandem Paragliding, Golf lessons or Guided walks on the Aletsch Glacier in Summer to skiing or snowboarding lessons in Winter we can help you to fully enjoy your experience at Berghaus Toni.

We are recognised for being Family friendly as we have all essentials including; High Chairs in the Restaurant, Baby Changing facilities, a Microwave is available for warming up food, Toys, Books and Games as well as a Children's menu in the Restaurant.

By Car: Guests arriving by Car can Park at any of the 2 Public Car Parks in the Village of Mörel. In the Car Parks you can then find a baggage trolley, which you then take to the ticket office. Here you can purchase tickets for the Cable Car going to Riederalp West.

By Train: Brig is served by the main Train lines to and from Geneva and Zurich Airports. You then take the Regional Train to Mörel, direction Fiesch. Once in Mörel you get off and the cross the road to the Cable Car Staion where you purchase your tickets for the Riederalp West Cable Car.
