The Hotel
The Europe Hotel & Spa is located in a quiet spot in the centre of Zermatt with a view of the Matterhorn. In summer 2010 the Europe underwent a complete renovation and is now a four-star hotel with 23 traditional rooms in the main building, 12 of which have a view of the Matterhorn, and 16 modern Alpine-style rooms in the new building, which opened in 2010.
Whilst guests can enjoy comfort, convenience and the colorful fabrics with cosy Zermatt charm in the main building, the new extension has a more modern touch: wood, stone, glass, sumptuous fabrics and leather create a wonderful natural atmosphere of wellbeing.
The two buildings are linked via a connecting building in which the reception, a bar-lounge and the lobby are situated. In the dining room the hotel´s hosts Marianne and Ruedi Julen and family treat their guests daily to a sumptuous breakfast buffet. In the evening there is a delicious five-course gourmet menu to choose from, along with select regional and international wines.
You will be impressed by the striking puristic architecture of the spa facilities. Here you will find everything youl´ll need after a day spent in the natural surroundings of Zermatt: relaxing whirpool, Finnish sauna, steam bath, organic herbal sauna, quiet room and massage treatments.
