The Hotel
Our walking- and skitouringhotel is located in the middle of the Dachstein-Tauern-Area, on the beautiful Ramsau sunny plateau. Here you have an idyll view as wide as you can see. Around our house you meet nature, and in front of the hotel you find the slopes to the most wide cross-country ski-tracks from Ramsau Dachstein. Our “Almfrieden” exists since 1932, in permanent possession of the family; this is why you will find the family ambience combined with a feeling of nature, mountain romance and repose. Our ambition is to harmonize nature, tradition and the culinary way of life. The slogan of our hotel is “Experience nature – live nature”! On our dreamlike sunny terrace, at the foot of the Dachstein Mountains, you can enjoy the wide view to the mountains around. The “Almfrieden Winter Active program” includes endless possibilities for nature and sports enthusiastics. Enjoy the snow bar, walking tours withSnowshoes, a ride with a horse sleigh trough the snow-covered forest, a casino lounge on the mountain, wine tasting, our delicious-dinner with music, our literature-workshop: “writing for beginners” , and the package for romantic, nature and culture. NEW from February 2010: the romantic chalet: a romantic room with a waterbed, experience shower, whirlpool, and the chimney….

Thursday: wine tasting with local wine.
Friday: Gourmet-dinner accompanied with music and a entree with sparkling wine.
Saturday: "Casino Lounge on the mountain" in Almfrieden with roulette, black jack and poker.
Sunday: Ski- and cross country information in the hotel Almfrieden.
