When the snow falls knee-deep and untouched slopes invite powder hounds to venture off-piste, freeride skis come into their own. With a waist width between at least 95 mm and up to 130 mm, these skis offer ideal float in the deep stuff thanks to their larger surface area. With a pronounced rocker profile, often full rocker, these skis are simple to manoeuvre. Even if snow conditions are tricky and the snow is iced over or wet, these skis still allow you to have fun in the backcountry. The featherweight construction of modern freeride skis also gives them a user-friendly feel. The upshot is little effort for plenty of fun!
