It all began in 2004 when a couple of ski and snowboard enthusiastic students of the University of Passau decided to publish their impressions and opinions about the ski resorts in the European Alps on the internet. Today Skigebiete-Test.de has more visitors than any other winter tourism website in Germany. Each season there are more than 15 million winter-sport enthusiasts and vacationers (Unique Visitors) retrieving information from our website. More than 2,500 ski regions from Europe, North America, New Zealand and Australia are presented on Skigebiete-Test.de. Apart from trail maps and detailed information about pistes and lifts, visitors will find up-to-date weather and snow reports as well as webcams and extensive picture material with each region. Innovative systems such as the Ski Resort Finder make the vacation planning easier than ever for our users. The Finder works like a filter taking into account the needs and preferences of every skier and snowboarder as well as considering the current snow and weather conditions. If a user has chosen one of the ski regions, he or she can then chose an accommodation from over 50.000 entries.

Snow-Online.com is the English version of Skigebiete-Test.de and has been online since 2006. This website is especially popular with users from Great Britain, the US, the Netherlands and Eastern Europe. Snow-Online.com is also gaining importance internationally as one of the most relevant websites regarding winter tourism.
