Versatile runs for athletic and ambitious skiiers!
Intermediate skiers will definitely not be disappointed at „Andermatt“. All slopes are well groomed and very versatile. Everything, from intermediate (red)runs to challenging off-piste terrain, is offered. Only disadvantage are the outdated ski lift facilities at the resort. Thus patience is required! Some of the chair lifts are not well connected and the large –capacity gondola „Gemsstock“ has a rather slow up hill capacity, particularly during peak time. Especially noteworthy are the runs leading from the „Gemsstock“ mountain station down to the valley. The intermediate (red) „St. Anna-Gletscher“ run is very long and absolutely manageable for practiced skiers. For those who seek a little more challenge we can warmly recommend the difficult trails ( black) „B-Russi“ down from the mountain station of the „Gemsstockbahn“ located at 3000 meters. Here you’ll also find some nice off-piste spots alongside the slope. We especially enjoyed the very long category black base area descents down to the „Gemsstockbahn“. Skilled riders and skiers will should not have problems conquering the trails. Our facit: Great runs but mediocre ski lift facilities!
