A few easy trails serviced by the Exhibition lift and a nice bunny slope at the base terminal!
Only ten percent of the almost 370 hectares of marked trails are ‘green', which in the US is the category for the easiest runs. This doesn't provide much of a selection of trails for the less-experienced skiers at A-Basin. The nicest ones are the very flat yet relatively long Wrangler and Sundance. Both trails can be easily reached with the Exhibition lift. If you're looking for a little more variety, you'll have to take on the intermediate trails serviced by the Lenawee Mountain lift. The bunny slope, on the other hand, was a pleasant surprise. A magic carpet lift and a chairlift going up about a thousand feet access the small area where you can practice your first moves in the snow. A further benefit: discounted beginner lift tickets for those only planning on using the bunny slope. Conclusion: Nice practice slope at the base, but not enough beginners' runs higher up the mountain. But for a single day, even beginners will have their fun.
