The Ski Resort
Not far from the well-known cross-country skiing centre Silberhütte, the two ski lifts in Altglashütte are located on the border to the Bohemian Forest. Two easy ski runs with a total length of two kilometres lead down the mountain and are therefore particularly suitable for beginners, families and those returning to the sport.
Thanks to the floodlights, you can even ski until 9 pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

- The vertical drop from summit to base is 152 m. The average difference in altitude between base and summit of Ski Resorts in Germany is 214 m. The ski resort takes you to an elevation of 900 m.

A restaurant is located in the immediate vicinity of the lifts and provides hungry winter sports enthusiasts with food and drinks.
Nightskiing
On Fridays and Saturdays it is possible to ski under floodlight in Altglashütten until 21 o'clock.
Activities
A big highlight in the neighbouring village of Altglashütte is the cross-country skiing centre Silberhütte. There, 50 kilometres of classic cross-country trails and 9 kilometres of skating trails await cross-country skiers. From Tuesday to Thursday there are illuminated cross-country trails in the cross-country skiing centre from 6 pm to 8 pm. There is also a ski rental, changing rooms and washrooms as well as a biathlon facility.
Getting here
The village Altglashütte is located about 8 kilometres south of Bärnau. The car can be parked during skiing on the free parking lot at the valley station.
