The Ski Resort
Baikal ski resort is located at the south-west bank of Lake Baikal in Siberia. Mount Sobolinaya boasts 15km/9.3mi of slopes. Novices practise on beginners' runs, while advanced winter sportsmen try the more demanding runs at the west face. From the run Poligaya, you enjoy a beautiful view over Lake Baikal. Moreover, there is a slalom run as well as a terrain park.
Interesting facts
- The vertical drop from summit to base is 462 m. The average difference in altitude between base and summit of Ski Resorts in Russia is 946 m. Runs and slopes are therefore relatively short. The high point of the ski resort is located at an elevation of 1,004 m.

Baikalsk is located about 150km/93.2mi south of Irkutsk, where you find an airport. Trains call at Baikalsk railway station.
