Not to put too fine a point on it, compared to its sister resorts, Mt. Norquay's skiable terrain and offers are quite limited. However, the ski resort's operators took this into account when adjusting prices, which makes the ski area a great place for families to head to with great value for money. Adults are charged only 74 CAD (appr. 48 EUR) for a single-day lift ticket, which lies way below average compared to other Canadian ski resorts and even in comparison with its two sister resorts, Lake Louise (104 CAD) and Sunshine Village (109 CAD).
What's more, Mt. Norquay offers excellent family discounts: There is a special family rate that can be booked online at least 24h in advance. Two adults with two kids (up to 17 years) are charged 149 CAD (appr. 97 EUR) in total for a day on the slopes. Without this discount, they'd be charged 148 CAD for two adults and 112 CAD for two teenagers.
Verdict is in: Families with kids save a whopping 111 CAD, which in turn means their kids are basically skiing for free. Each additional child or youth is charged 25 CAD, which is definitely affordable! Congrats, Mt. Norquay, on this great deal and family package – you are officially awarded in the “Value for Money“ category!
