The Ski Resort
The ski lift at Barmsee in Krün, Upper Bavaria, is a small, charming ski area that is particularly well-suited for families with children as well as beginner skiers and snowboarders. The two easy, well-maintained runs, measuring 300 meters and 400 meters, along with a small drag lift, provide ideal conditions for safely and enjoyably learning the basics of skiing.
A special highlight of the ski area is the historic "Nostalski" ski race and the annual "Children’s Carnival Skiing" event, both of which bring fun and excitement to the slopes. These events make the ski lift a popular winter destination not only for locals but also for visitors.
Access to the ski lift is simple: from the parking lot in the Barmsee district or via the Alpenwelt Karwendel ski bus, the slope is just a few minutes’ walk away.
Right next to the ski slope, a well-visible sledding hill invites kids to go sledding and play in the snow. Parents can watch from nearby benches or take a break with their children at the nearby Gasthof Barmsee.

The sunny location of the valley around Mittenwald, Krün and Wallgau makes cross-country skiing here particularly pleasant.
