The Ski Resort

The ski resort Bichlbach-Berwang offers more than 35 kilometers of trails and 12 lifts. As the majority of the trails are easiest and intermediate trails it is the perfect spot for families. In addition, you don´t need any bus ride to the lifts as you have access to Sonnenbichllift right in the center of Bichlbach from where you have access to Skischaukel Berwangertal which is a ski area that belongs to Tiroler Zugspitz Arena. Thanks to some investions in recent years you will find state of the art lifts.

Yet, also aside of the trails there are many activtities for families. Whether sledding or ice skating there´S a lot to experience! If you like it quiet but also love to have the opportunity to ski in a bigger ski resort this is the perfect sport for you!

On Mountain Dining

In the area above Bichlbach you can stop at the Hochalm. If you are above Rinnen, you can stop at the Kögele Hütte. At the top station of the Egghof Sun Jet is the Jägerhaus and those who are skiing above Berwang can fortify themselves in the Kaminstube at the Thanellerkarlift.

During night skiing and night tobogganing on Thursdays, the sports stores, restaurants and après-ski venues are open.

Activities

Fun for all visitors is the toboggan run "Bärenritt" at the 6-seater chairlift Egghof Sun Jet. It starts at the Jägerhaus at the top station. During the night skiing every Thursday, the natural toboggan run is also open.

Those who prefer a more leisurely pace can take advantage of the numerous winter hiking trails. From the parking lot of the Egghof Sun Jet, a cleared and gritted path leads to the Jägerhaus at the mountain station of the Sonnalm lift (Hochalm). In addition, a walking trail leads from the western end of Berwang to Rinnen.

Getting here

The Berwang ski area can be reached via the German motorway A7. You can then drive without a vignette via the towns of Bichlbach or Berwang to one of the valley stations Almkopfbahn or Sonnbichllift in Bichlbach, Sonnalmbahn, Egghof Sun Jet or Thanellerkarlift/Thanellerbahn in Berwang and Panoramabahn Rastkopf or Rinnerlift in Rinnen. Free parking is available at all valley stations.

By public transport:
Those arriving by train can travel directly to the Almkopfbahn base station in Bichlbach.
