The Ski Resort
Clausthal-Zellerfeld lies at 535 - 600 meters above sea level. The ski slope in the district of Zellerfeld is particularly suitable for beginners. A button lift transports winter sports enthusiasts to the slopes. Once the 50 metre difference in altitude from the base station to the top station has been overcome, the 300 metre long, blue-marked piste descends.
The state-approved climatic health resort Clausthal-Zellerfeld is a traditional mountain and university town and the centre of the Upper Harz Mountains. Its central location in the Harz nature park, surrounded by more than sixty ponds, gives the town a very special charm.
