The Ski Resort
With 40km/25mi of slopes, Changbaishan International Ski Center is among the largest ski resorts in China. It is located in the province of Jilin, in the east of the country, near the North Korean border, and is elevated at 820m/2,690ft to 1,210m/3,970ft above sea level. During the season from mid-November to early May, it is used by the Chinese national ski team as a training ground.
Winter sportsmen have seven lifts at their disposal. The runs go mainly through forests, and are suitable for beginners as well as more ambitious skiers thanks to varying difficulty levels. Six runs are marked as easy, 13 as intermediate, and nine as difficult. The base area features five magic carpets, and plenty of space for novices to try their first turns. Restaurants are also available. You can stay at the ski resort itself, or in the next bigger city Songjianghezhen.

By car:
Changchun, the provincial capital of Jilin, is located 322km/200mi from Changbaishan International Ski Center. From there, you can get to the ski resort via expressway S 26. Sufficient parking is available on-site.
Public transportation:
Changbaishan Airport is located in close vicinity to the ski resort. Flights arrive here from many major Chinese airports such as Changchun, Chengdu, Shanghai, or Bejing. Free shuttle buses go from the airport to the ski resort.
