The Ski Resort
The ski resort of Dorukkaya is located between Ankara and Istanbul. You have 20km/12.4mi of slopes at your disposal. Most runs are intermediate, but there are also three easy slopes for beginners as well as one challenging black run. T-bars and a chair lift take winter sportsmen up the mountain. Two tows and a magic carpet help novices get a hang of the lifts. Moreover, Dorukkaya is home to a terrain park.
Interesting facts
- The vertical drop from summit to base is 552 m. The average difference in altitude between base and summit of Ski Resorts in Turkey is 686 m. The ski resort takes you to an elevation of 2,500 m.
Nightskiing
Some of the slopes are illuminated for nightskiing on the weekend.

The ski resort is located in Kartalkaya-Bolu, around 180km/112mi from Ankara. Buses go to Bolu from the airport. Istanbul airport also has a bus connection to Bolu.
