The Ski Resort
Erlongshan-Longzhu ski resort is located east of the Chinese city Harbin and at the west bank of Lake Erlong. From November to March, snow sports enthusiasts can find six slopes for skiing and snowboarding. The steepest run has a gradient of 30 degrees. Beginners and children find an area with three easy runs that are suitable to practise.
The frozen lake provides opportunities for ice skating as well as various other activities such as snow football, snow karting, or riding a snowmobile. Explore the area on a horse- or dog-drawn sleigh, or go to the end of the climbing wall to get an overview of all the sports activities offered at the lake.
The ski resort was opened in 1999, making it one of the oldest in China. In 2003, it hosted the FIS Freestyle competition.

From Harbin, you can get to the ski resort by car via expressway G1011 in around 80 minutes. At exit 221, change onto G221, and follow the signs in Cuijiatun until you get to the ski resort at the west bank of Lake Erlong. Various tour operators in Harbin also organise day tours to the ski resort. Moreover, hotel operators at the ski resort offer transportation from Harbin to Erlongshan.
