The Ski Resort
The Espot Esqui ski resort is located in the Catalan province of Lleida, at an altitude of up to 2,500 metres. Three chairlifts as well as a T-bar and two magic carpets bring skiers and snowboarders to the slopes. Of the approximately 24 kilometres of slopes, about half are marked green (very easy) or blue, making the ski area ideal for beginners and families in particular. Two thirds of the slopes in Espot Esqui are artificially snowed. This means that nothing stands in the way of skiing enjoyment even when the snow conditions are not so good.
From the base station in Espot, the La Roca chairlift takes you up to the top. Piste fleas and newcomers are already in good hands here: Directly at the top station is a practice area with flat ski slopes, which are accessible via two magic carpets and a drag lift. Those who are more confident can explore the higher, blue-marked slopes of Espot Esqui. The La Font lift and the La Bassa chairlift take you up to an altitude of 2,200 metres.
Advanced skiers can go even higher. Three red-marked slopes start at the top station of the Bosc lifts at 2,500 metres. In addition, there is a snow-covered valley run, also marked red, which takes winter holidaymakers back to Espot after their fun on the slopes. Experienced skiers should also head for the highest point of the ski area. Four black-marked steep slopes run along the Bosc lifts to their valley station. In the upper part of the ski area you will also find the freeride area La Pala, which offers powder fans great deep snow slopes.

On Mountain Dining
There are two restaurants for your physical well-being. The best place to stop is at the top station of the La Roca chairlift. This way you can stay directly in the ski area during the break and then immediately hit the slopes again. An alternative is at the valley station. Here, after the last downhill run, it's worth stopping for a while to round off the day's skiing.
Must-Ski Runs
Several valley runs bring the winter sports enthusiasts back to Espot. The Cami del Llop slope is marked blue and therefore also suitable for beginners. The red marked La Rampa has the advantage that it is artificially snowed and so you can still ski down into the valley even with little natural snow.
