The Ski Resort
In Fischbach in Eastern Styria two ski lifts are waiting for you. Northwest of Fischbach there is the Schanz lift. The T-bar lift on the Teufelstein serves an approx. 600-metre-long easy runway and has a musical sound system. Thanks to the floodlight system, night skiing is possible here every Friday from 18 to 21 o'clock. The Winkler Ski School offers courses for children and beginners. The Schanzsattel is also an ideal starting point for ski tours around the Teufelstein.
A second lift is located near Falkenstein. Here the Schneidhofer family operates a platter lift. Although the downhill run is somewhat shorter at about 300 metres, it is somewhat more demanding than the Schanz piste. The "Skilift-Buffet" provides refreshment after a day's skiing.
In the Joglland Waldheimat region you will also find other small ski areas such as St. Jakob im Walde, the Schneeland Wenigzell ski resort and the Hochwechsel lifts.
