The Ski Resort
The Faschina-Fontanella ski area is located in the heart of Vorarlberg in the biosphere park of the Great Walser Valley. Due to its geographical location, the winter sports resort with almost 9 km of slopes is considered very snow-sure. Especially families feel comfortable with the quiet atmosphere. The starting point to the four lifts is directly in Faschina at 1500 meters.
Newcomers to skiing and snowboarding can use the practice lifts and slopes in the valley area to master their first attempts on the boards. The ski kindergarten is also located there, where the kids learn the ABCs of winter sports. The beginners are supported by the team of the Ski and Snowboard School Faschina - Raggal, which even has a miniclub for the youngest children.
From the valley, the Stafelalpe lift and the Glatthorn lift take you up to 2,000 metres. Here more experienced skiers feel comfortable. With magnificent views, the red marked Glatthorn run invites you to enjoy carving. Professionals can also explore three ski routes Hahnenkopf South, East and North, which start at the top station of the Stafelalpe lift.
Every Thursday, winter sports enthusiasts have the opportunity to night skiing at the Guggernülli lift. The two blue-marked ski runs of the same name on the left and right of the lift route are illuminated from 18 to 21 Uhr.
Faschina is also part of the ski resort of Damüls Mellau, the largest ski area in the Bregenzerwald. Although there is no direct connecting railway, the ski bus runs regularly between Faschina and Damüls. Skiers and snowboarders can also purchase a 3-valley super ski pass, which includes ski areas in the Great Walser Valley, Bregenzerwald and Lechtal.
