The Ski Resort

The Goms high valley in the Swiss canton of Valais offers ideal conditions for families, beginners, and less experienced skiers. With its three small ski areas in Oberwald, Münster-Geschinen, and Gluringen, Goms promises a sunny skiing experience on gentle, wide, and softly sloping pistes. Here, the joy of skiing takes center stage—far away from crowded slopes or the hustle and bustle of busy winter sports resorts.

Situated at an altitude of 1,363 to 1,645 meters, the ski area offers optimal snow conditions for a perfect day on the slopes. Families, in particular, will find an extensive range of activities: ski schools, child-friendly lifts, a varied snow park, as well as opportunities for cross-country skiing and sledding, making the area appealing to all age groups.

  • Münster-Geschinen Ski Lift: Two ski lifts provide carefree skiing fun on gentle slopes. A magic carpet is available for the youngest winter sports enthusiasts, making it easier for them to get started with skiing. Beginners will find ideal conditions here, with the support of local ski schools.
  • Oberwald Ski Lift: This gentle slope is equipped with a rope tow and a button lift, making it the perfect choice for beginners and children learning their first turns on skis. The slight incline ensures a safe environment and plenty of space to practice and improve step by step.
  • Gluringen Ski Lift: A staple of the region for nearly 70 years, the Gluringen ski lift has introduced many winter sports enthusiasts to their first skiing adventures. The gentle slopes, combined with the cozy ski lift café ("Buvette") right by the piste, make this area particularly family-friendly.

Snowpark Goms – A Freestyle Paradise for All Skill Levels

The Snowpark Goms, located at the Gluringen ski lift, offers a diverse range of obstacles and freestyle elements, making it the perfect spot for both beginners and advanced freestylers. Beginners can safely practice their first tricks, such as Fifty-Fiftys, on wide boxes and simple obstacles, gradually building confidence step by step.

Advanced riders will find more challenging features, including kinked rails, slides, and jumps that demand creative riding and precise maneuvers.
