The Ski Resort
Very suitable for beginners is the 600 meter long, wind-protected descent on the Herchenhainer Höhe. The lift leads through a piece of forest.
As winter sports make you hungry, it is worth stopping at the nearby mountain inn. Another small skiing area is not far away at Hoherodskopf. Hesse's longest ski lift, with a length of 1 kilometre, is also located there.
During the week the ski lift in Herchenhain is open from 13-17 o'clock. Please note that opening times vary depending on weather and snow conditions.
