In the Ore Mountains lies the modest but fine ski area Holzhau, which is one of the most beautiful ski areas in the Ore Mountains. From December to March, the snow conditions here are excellent, which can be helped by a modern snowmaking system if necessary.

Beginners can learn the basics of winter sports in the ski and snowboard courses of the ski school. For snowboarders there is even a fun park where they can enjoy themselves and try out daring stunts.

Every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 16.30 to 23 o'clock there is night skiing with barn party. On Sundays, the lifts are also open longer (until 8 p.m.) when snow conditions are good.

In Holzhau you can not only ski or snowboard. The airboard, for example, provides variety. With the inflatable sledge neither the halfpipe nor the mogul slope is a problem. Also snow-kite promises a lot of fun. Courses for this are offered from four people upwards.

Cross-country skiers also get their money's worth. The trail network in Holzhau includes five skating trails and five classic trails. There is also a high-altitude and a floodlit track. The high-altitude trail can be reached with the ski lifts. Furthermore, the region is connected to the Osterzgebirgsloipe.
