The Ski Resort
Jade Dragon Snow Mountain ski resort in southwest China, at 4,400m/14,436ft above sea level is popular with winter sportsmen as well as nature lovers. The mountain with the same names is sacred for the local ethnicity Naxi. A gondola takes skiers and snowboarders up the mountain. If you want to go further than the top station, you can walk to the glacier park, where a unique view awaits you at 4,680m/15,354ft above sea level. If the mountain air is too much for you, stick to the lifts Yak and Spruce.
The world's highest ski resort
The highest ski resort in the world boasts elevation more than length of slopes. Only 1km/0.6mi of slopes is not much to lure skiers and snowboarders. The best snow conditions can be found from November to April.

- Elevated between 3,358 m and 4,516 m, the Ski Resort is the highest elevated Ski Resorts in China. The vertical drop from summit to base is 1,158 m. The average difference in altitude between base and summit of Ski Resorts in China is 447 m. Most runs are therefore relatively long.

Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is located 15km/9.3mi from the city of Lijang (Yunnan province). From Hongtaiyang Square in the city centre, buses go to the ski resort. Tickets are available at the tourist information at Lahuna street, across from Hotel Tianyu.
