The Ski Resort
The small skiing area Kalteck-Achslach not far from the town of Deggendorf offers a perfect practice area for beginners and ski schools. A total of 1.4 kilometres of pistes are available, 800 metres of which are marked red, making them suitable for advanced skiers.
In this winter sports area, which lies at an altitude of 720 to 980 metres, there are also around 60 kilometres of groomed cross-country trails.
Getting here
Coming from Passau take the A3 to Deggendorf. At the motorway junction 110-Krez Deggendorf follow the signs to the A92 direction Deggendorf. Continue straight ahead on the B11 and take the exit towards Deggendorf-Rusel/ Bischofsmais/ Bernried. Continue on Egger Straße until you reach the roundabout, where you take the second exit and stay on Egger Straße until you reach Kalteck.
Coming from Regensburg take the A3 until exit 108-Schwarzach direction Schwarzach/ Niederwinkling/ Bernried. Turn left onto the St2147 and continue on Deggendorfer Straße. Turn right onto Kreuzstraße and continue to Höslbach. There you turn right again onto Leithen in the direction of Innenstetten. You turn left to stay on Leithen. From here you go on to Kalteck.
