Few beginner friendly trails but a very nice beginner area at "Chair 7"
Only 13 % of Loveland`s terrain is of easy level. Definitely not a lot! However Loveland can still score in the beginner category. In “Loveland Valley” (see trial map) a separate practicing slope featuring a slow double chair lift is the perfect facility for an easy and convenient introduction to snow-sports. The local ski school is also located in “Loveland Valley” and offers half-day classes for young and old. The gentle slopes "Catwalk", "Mambo", "Turtle Creek" and "Creek Trail" are strewn across the resort. Advantage: beginners see the entire resort. Disadvantage: beginners must also conquer intermediate level terrain in order to get to the gentle slopes. Those that have stood on skis before should be able to also ski the intermediate terrain (earmarked blue). The trails at “Chair 6” are relatively flat and especially less skilled skiers are to be found there. Compared to other resorts in Colorado, Loveland offers great price performance ratio. Especially beginners are often not willing to pay a fortune for lift-tickets as they can anyhow not tap the whole potential of a ski resort. If Loveland featured more beginner friendly terrain they would have certainly obtained better results in the beginner category.
