The Ski Resort
Mehliskopf, situated in the Northern black forest, separates into three trails for three different ability levels on 1007 meters (3303 feet). The Northern side of the mountain is the treasure chest where all of these trails are located.
The easiest is Hang 3 with a moderate gradient. Here you can grab the ski tow that will help beginners to bring them up the mountain and practice their first curves. Beginners may also attend skiing and snowboard lessons at the local ski school to expand on their abilities. Intermediate skiers can check out Hang 1 and 2 with gradients of 28 degrees and 36 degrees. Hang 1 features the 900 meter (2952 feet) long slope that is the longest in the Northern black forest.
If it´s cold enough the snow cannons go into action and you will have best snow conditions even if nature isn´t willing to treat the area with snow. In addition you can find a floodlight that extends the ski hours until 10 pm at night.
Freestylers should head to Hang 3 that boasts a terrain park with all kinds of features and even challenges the bravest skiers and boarders.
