The Ski Resort
The Kreischberg ski area in Styria offers skiers and snowboarders pure winter sports fun on 42 kilometres of slopes. Beginners are well catered for on the 17 kilometres of blue-marked slopes. Advanced skiers can take their turns on 16 kilometres of red marked slopes. Experienced skiers are drawn to the nine kilometres of black-marked slopes. Winter sports enthusiasts can test their racing skills on the permanent race track and the speed track. From the St. Georgen ob Murau valley station, 14 lifts take skiers and snowboarders up to 2,118 metres.
The offer for small children is very good: In the kids park the little ones take their first steps into the ski world - with baby lift, magic carpet and mini slalom. At the new adventure course "Wild Lachtal" the little adventurers meet deer, rabbit, bambi and other forest animals. But there is also a "Dino Forest" with huge dinosaur figures, the "KreiSchi Safari" with lion, elephant, giraffe and co. as well as a "Ghost Train" adventure course with spooky figures at the edge of the slope. The Tubing Arena, the permanent race track with time measurement and the speed track with radar measurement are also very popular, not only with children.
Freestylers are enthusiastic about the "Snowpark Kreischberg", where every year also the pros are guests of the World Cup. At 1,900 metres above sea level, the World Cup mountain offers a perfectly designed and professionally supervised fun park. A "Beginner Line" and the more demanding "Medium Line" provide fun and action at the highest level. Every year the freestylers can also look forward to new elements.
