The Ski Resort
With five lifts and eight kilometres of pistes, the small Muggenbrunn ski centre offers something for winter sports enthusiasts. Numerous snow cannons guarantee perfect fun on the slopes even with little fresh snow.
The Franzosenberg slope with two wide downhill runs (FIS route) next to the 600 metre long lift is suitable for the more demanding rider. There you can also go deep snow skiing. The Franzosenberg ski lift starts directly in the village of Muggenbrunn. A short steep plate lift is the 400 meter long ski lift Köpfle. Skiers can expect a varied descent on the north slope with beautiful deep snow passages. This lift only operates on weekends/holidays and during holiday periods.
The more experienced skier should not miss out on the slopes at the 800 metre long Winkel ski lift. On the sunny slope one often has a great panorama with a view to the Alps. The Winkel ski lift can be reached either on skis via the Franzosenberg ski lift or the Köpfle ski lift. Alternatively, you can also take the car from the campsite to Muggenbrunn Obere Häuser (approx. 1200 metres).
The Wasen ski lifts are recommended for beginners. There is not only a short training lift, but also a 500 meter long drag lift. With both there is assistance with boarding. Although the slope is not too steep, there are many varied passages.
Night skiing is definitely a highlight in the Muggenbrunn ski area. The floodlights are switched on every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 17 to 21.30 at the ski lift Wasen. Winter sportsmen need an evening ticket or alternatively the late day ticket from 14 o'clock.
The Muggenbrunn Ski Centre is located in the rest of the Feldberg lift network. With a single ski pass you can ski in eight ski areas in the Black Forest.
