The Ski Resort
Located in the Yuzawa region, the ski resort of Naeba offers tons of fun and opportunities on its 20 kilometers (12 miles) of groomed runs. The resort stretches across the foot of Mt Takenokoyama (1,789 meters / 5869 feet) up to the Naeba Prince Hotel's large complex. The FIS Ski World Cup has made the resort famous all over the world. The races were held here as recently as 2020.
An indoor ski center for children can be found inside the hotel and is open until the evening hours. At the Family Snowland, you can take a break from skiing with activities like snow tubing and rides on a snowmobile.

- Elevated between 900 m and 1,789 m, the Ski Resort is among the 10 highest elevated Ski Resorts in Japan. The vertical drop from summit to base is 889 m. The average difference in altitude between base and summit of Ski Resorts in Japan is 882 m.
- Average snow depth during the season is 178 cm at summit elevation and 124 cm at base elevation. Snow coverage is usually best during February, offering an average snow depth of 208 cm at summit elevation and 155 cm at the base. Therefore Naeba (Mt. Naeba) is among the 10 ski Resorts with best snow conditions in Japan.

Activities
Yuzawa is home to many hot springs that let you relax after a long day on the slope. The Prince Hotel's shuttle bus is available free of charge and takes about 45 minutes to the city center. Restaurants and cafes can also be found in large numbers in Yuzawa, as well as organized tours teaching you about the art of sake brewing.
