The Ski Resort
Nevados de Chillan is the place where skiing meanders through trees making for excellent off-piste sessions on wide slopes. Located in the Andes of the Bio Bio Region in Chile, the ski resort boasts a smoking (hint: this is totally pun intended and referring to the adjacent volcanoes) ski and snowboard terrain which is great for both beginners and intermediates. What's more is Chillan is renowned for its cat skiing and heli skiing - it is aptly named as the snow is bountiful and its quality generelly well maintained.
Boasting a total of 23 runs and 13 lifts, Nevados de Chillan offers 22% beginner slopes, 39% are designated blue runs, 22 % are suited to advanced skiers, and 17% are great for experts. Ranging from beginners to experts in sports such as freeride, freestyle and more, the local ski and snowboard school offers classes in more than eight different languages. Parents who feel as if they needed some quality time should head to the spa and invest in treatments or relax in the swimming pool, saunas, and whirlpools. The Thermal Water Park boasts four pools filled with thermal water, three of which are outdoors, and is highly recommended!
