The Ski Resort
In Niederalpl a total of 12 kilometres of pistes are waiting to be discovered. The 4-seater chair lift "Niederalplbahn" takes skiers and snowboarders quickly up to the 1,460 metre high mount Wetterin, from where you have a wonderful view of the mountains Hohe Veitsch, Hochschwab and alp Schneealm. From the top station you can either take the blue-marked "Tom Holzer descent" or the "Rote-Eins" back to the valley. Freeriders can branch off to the "Ploderer-Freeride" in the lower part of the "Rote-Eins" and enjoy the untouched deep snow slopes.
There are also beautiful descents from mount Wetterl, which can be reached via the "Wetterin" plate lift. Winter sports enthusiasts reach the cosy hut "Hansi-Hütte" via the "Murmeltier-Steig" piste, where they are rewarded with roast pork and beer. More experienced drivers can compete at the race track at the plate lift "C".
For Kidsthere's a specially created area on the rope lift "E", where they can learn their first steps on the boards in a playful way. The area around the T-bar lift "Sohlalm" is also ideal for beginners and less experienced skiers.
