The Ski Resort
With 16 kilometres of slopes, the South Carinthian Petzen ski area awaits skiers and snowboarders. From the valley station, a total of six lifts take winter sports enthusiasts up to 1,900 metres.
At Petzen can also beginners master the valley descent and enjoy the impressive mountain panorama. For this you take the 6-seater cable car. Once you have arrived at the top station, follow the blue marked runs 13, 8, 1 and 1a back down to the valley. All those who do not yet dare a longer route can first be transported with the Quellenlift. After a piece of red marked downhill run you reach the valley station via the blue marked run 4a, where Petzi's Kinderland awaits you. Together with the mascot Petzi the Bear kids can start their first attempts on the boards. A magic carpet is available for convenient transport up the mountain.
For families and advanced it is recommended to take the red marked 15a from the mountain station. Continue with the Siebenhütten lift to the highest point of the ski area at 1,920 metres. From there you descend the red marked slopes 14 and 12. Skiers can reach run 3, which leads down to the valley, either via the blue-marked 1 or the red-marked 9. Sporting skiers exercise themselves on the black-marked downhill runs 7 and 3 before returning to the valley station with the red-marked 3.
Freestylers also get their money's worth in the Petzen ski area. The Snowpark is located on the red marked runway 14 at the Siebenhüttenlift. This one offers several rails, boxes and kickers.
