The Ski Resort
In the middle of the Bavarian Forest lies the Pröller ski area in Klinglbach near Sankt Englmar. Around 4.5 kilometres of slopes invite you to enjoy winter sports here. The ski runs are divided into about two kilometres of blue marked slopes, two kilometres of red marked slopes and about 0.5 kilometres of black marked routes. The ski area has three lifts and is particularly popular with families. From Monday to Saturday floodlit skiing is possible on almost three kilometres of the slopes.
Beginners are supported by the local ski and snowboard schools during their first turns. Various courses are offered for children and adults.

- The vertical drop from summit to base is 310 m. The average difference in altitude between base and summit of Ski Resorts in Germany is 214 m. Most runs are therefore relatively long. The highest point of the track is 1,030 m above sea level.
- Average snow depth during the season is 39 cm at summit elevation and 24 cm at base elevation. Snow coverage is usually best during January, offering an average snow depth of 44 cm at summit elevation and 27 cm at the base.

Around the ski area there are numerous cross-country ski trails leading through the winterly nature. Cross-country skiing fans get their money's worth here.
The snow-covered landscape also invites to winter hiking. Next to the valley station there is a toboggan run, which promises lots of fun for young and old. There is also the possibility for ice skating.
Après-Ski and Nightlife
To celebrate a successful day of skiing, winter sports enthusiasts can visit the après-ski hut "K-zwoa" at the Hinterwies valley station. Here the party goes on with good music and delicious drinks.
Dining and Restaurants
The historic vaulted restaurant of Gut Schmelmerhof in Sankt Englmar is the tip for gourmets among winter sports enthusiasts. In a cosy atmosphere, culinary fans can be enchanted by refined Bavarian and international cuisine and enjoy delicacies made from fresh, seasonal and regional products. Excellent wines are served with them.

By car:
If you want to drive via Regensburg to Klinglbach, follow the A3 motorway to the Bogen exit and take the St2139. Via Hunderdorf and Neukirchen it goes to Grün. There turn onto the SR 37, which leads to Klinglbach. You can also drive to Klinglbach via Passau. Follow the A3 motorway to the Bogen exit and follow the route described.
By public transport:
The nearest airport is in Munich, 120 kilometres away. There is a train station in Straubing, about 30 kilometers away.
