No skiing on the Raxalpe
Since the winter season 2017/2018 the T-bar lift Ebenwald has been closed on the Raxalpe! Skiing is no longer possible. Nevertheless, the plateau offers good opportunities for other winter leisure activities such as snowshoeing and winter hiking or tobogganing. The Rax cable car is in operation all year round.
A snowshoe rental can be found at the mountain station of the Raxbahn. There is also a natural toboggan run in Prein for lovers of tobogganing. Toboggans can be rented at the Raxalpenhof.

By car
Reichenau and the Raxalpe are only one hour away from Vienna. The best way to reach the Raxalpe is via the A2 motorway to the Seebenstein junction. Then follow the S6 Semmering expressway to the Gloggnit exit.
With public transport
With the train you reach the Raxalpe comfortably in the same time. Take the train to Payerbach Reichenau station and take the museum train to Reichenau. A special experience! Alternatively you can take the bus from Payerbach.
