The Ski Resort
East of Lennestadt-Kirchhundem, directly at the Rothaarsteig in the nature park Sauerland-Rothaargebirge in North Rhine-Westphalia, is the small ski area Rhein-Weser-Turm. A plate lift takes you up to the mountain station, where you can climb the 400-metre-long piste. The small ski slope is especially suitable for ski and snowboard beginners. In good snow conditions, a 2 kilometre descent will take you directly into the village of Oberhundem.

At the Rhein-Weser-Turm ski lift, you can either indulge yourself in the culinary delights of the tower restaurant or enjoy snacks and drinks from skiing in the ski hut.

At the Rhein-Weser-Turm ski lift you can ski or snowboard into the evening hours because of the floodlighting.
Activities
In the nature park Sauerland-Rothaargebirge there are numerous groomed cross-country trails and some prepared winter hiking trails. After skiing, you can explore the snow-covered winter landscape around Kirchhundem either on your cross-country skis or on foot.
Getting here
Coming from Cologne, follow the A4 motorway to exit 30-Krombach and continue on the B54. At the roundabout take the first exit towards Krombach. At the roundabout in the village take the second exit onto the B517. At Kirchhundem turn right onto Hundemstraße. In Würdinghausen take the second exit at the roundabout and continue to the ski lift.
