The Ski Resort
Piste fun for children and parents is offered by the 4 lifts and the 365 m long piste in the ski area Donnstetten in Römerstein. In order to keep waiting times as short as possible, the modern ski area has a contactless card system. Thanks to the snowmaking system, downhill fun is possible from November to March. In order to be able to enjoy the perfectly groomed slopes even in the dark, floodlight operation is available until 22.00 hrs. Ski and snowboard courses are offered regularly for beginners.

- The vertical drop from summit to base is 54 m. The average difference in altitude between base and summit of Ski Resorts in Germany is 214 m. Runs and slopes are therefore relatively short. The high point of the ski resort is located at an elevation of 854 m.
- Average snow depth during the season is 8 cm at summit elevation and 4 cm at base elevation. Snow coverage is usually best during January, offering an average snow depth of 10 cm at summit elevation and 10 cm at the base.
- Römerstein Donnstetten features 22 sunny days on average per season. The average for all ski Resorts in Germany is 19 sunny days. February is the sunniest month with an average of 13 sunny days.

Activities
Cross-country skiing fans will also find what they are looking for in Donnstetten. The Donnstetten cross-country ski run runs for 12 kilometres around the village. If that is too far for you, you can run the Kleine Donnstetter Loipe, which is only 4.5 kilometres long. The cross-country trails also have a connection to the Römersteiner cross-country trail network with a total of 60 kilometres of cross-country trails.
Directly next to the ski lift is the Donnstetten bob run. On the 1,160-meter-long track, the bobsleds reach up to 40 km/h. The track is suitable for all weather conditions and is therefore open all year round. The observation tower at the Römerstein is also worth a visit. It is about 30 minutes away on foot and offers a great panoramic view over the Swabian Alb.

By car
From Ulm you drive on the B28 via Blaustein, Blaubeuren and past Heroldstatt. After about 42 km keep right and drive on the B465 to Donnstetten. There you turn left onto Böhringer Straße and turn right again immediately until you reach the lift.
From Stuttgart take the A8 towards Munich until the exit Kirchheim unter Teck-Ost and turn left onto the B465. In Dettingen turn left to Bissingen and drive via Ochsenwang and Schopfloch to the B465. Turn left there and drive to Donnstetten. Stay on the B465 until the intersection of Böhringer Str./Feldstetter Str. and turn right onto Böhringer Straße. Then turn right again immediately and drive to the lift.
