The Ski Resort
With three mountains, West Mountain, East Mountain and Mt Isola, and a total of 37 runs, Rusutsu ski resort offers a wide range of opportunities both for beginners and advanced skiers. The more even area around East Mountain is better suited for beginners, while more the more advanced skiers will want to head over to Mt Isola. Rusutsu ski resort gets around 14 meters (46 feet) of snow each year, making it especially attractive for fans of deep snow.
The resort's large offer of child-friendly areas and activities makes it a great destination for families as well.

- The vertical drop from summit to base is 594 m. The average difference in altitude between base and summit of Ski Resorts in Japan is 882 m. The highest point of the track is 994 m above sea level.
- Average snow depth during the season is 252 cm at summit elevation and 167 cm at base elevation. Snow coverage is usually best during February, offering an average snow depth of 283 cm at summit elevation and 188 cm at the base.

Activities
Several traditional Japanese restaurants can be found near the valley station. Guests looking for wild parties will be disappointed, however. A couple of bars are found in the village, offering the opportunity to relax at the end of the day with a beer or two.
Getting here
There are shuttle buses from New Chitose Airport and the city of Sapporo available, taking visitors to Rusutsu ski resort and back.
