The Ski Resort
In the idyllic town of Kirchbach in Lower Austria's Waldviertel region, a 550-metre-long T-bar lift awaits winter sports enthusiasts. For children and beginners there is also an 80-metre-long practice lift. In the ski village Kirchbach, courses for beginners, advanced, experts, carvers and boarders are organised. Children and adults can playfully make their first attempts on the boards here.
The ski area is also popular for organising ski races and training. Members of the Kirchbach ski village youth racing team regularly compete here. Those who would like to spend a few more hours doing sports in the evening can do so in Kirchbach thanks to the floodlight system. On Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday the piste is illuminated from 17.30 to 21.00 o'clock.
