The Ski Resort
In winter, Schönfeld im Thomatal is a paradise for ski beginners, families but also for experienced winter sports enthusiasts. For skiing and snowboarding there are a total of 3 km of slopes available in the skiing area. The little skiers can make their first turns at the baby lift. More experienced skiers can reach the top station via two T-bar lifts.

In winter, there are many other leisure activities in Schönfeld besides skiing and snowboarding. Several slopes are suitable for a sleigh ride. On the prepared winter hiking trails you have the possibility for a pleasant winter walk. If you want to leave the paths and walk through the deep snow, you should bring snowshoes with you. For enthusiastic cross-country skiers there are also well signposted cross-country trails with different levels of difficulty available.

Coming from Eben im Pongau, take the A10 motorway to exit 104-St.Michael im Lungau. In the village, turn left onto the B96, which you follow for a total of 6 kilometers until you turn right to continue towards the ski area.
