The Ski Resort
The beautiful resort of Shames Mountain is part of the Coast Mountain Range in British Columbia. It has been open for 21 years and so the resort has a long tradition and is family oriented. It was founded by two locals, who picked the perfect spot for this resort, for now it is famous for its breathtaking views of the landscape surrounding the mountain. 28 trails of various ability levels offer some excitement for everybody, no matter if novice or expert. 57 ha are groomed to perfection every day and if there should be no fresh snow, snow can be man made. Shames has a great vertical of 488m that offers not only skiing on marked trails but also some great back country skiing that is fun and challenging for intermediates and experts. The on-mountain facilities include one day lodge, a cafeteria and one après ski bar that is a lot of fun. The full range of services is offered, ski rental,ski service and daycare for your precious ones. Children and Youths can join the Skill Development Center, where certified instructors teach them how to enhance their skills and ski or snowboard safely. 2 surface lifts and a chair lift make the mountain accessible and will make sure that the ascent to your trail of choice is fast and safe with almost no back up!

- The vertical drop from summit to base is 489 m. The average difference in altitude between base and summit of Ski Resorts in Canada is 363 m. Most runs are therefore relatively long. The highest point of the track is 1,189 m above sea level.
